St. Louis' most famous feathered friend, Fredbird, is a finalist for induction into the Mascot Hall of Fame!

Fredbird, the Cardinals mascot since 1979, has performed at more than 34,000 regular-season games, plus seven World Series! He was inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.

In addition to entertaining fans at the ballpark and around the community, he co-hosts a 30-minute television show, Cardinals Kids, on Bally Sports Midwest.

Plus, he hosts the Fredbird & Friends Elementary School Program which is designed to educate and entertain area students in kindergarten through grade five.

Fans are encouraged to vote for Fredbird during the final voting stage through Saturday, Oct. 23. The public may vote once per day with the same email address.

The Mascot Hall of Fame, located in Whiting, Indiana, is the hall of fame for North American sports mascots. The non-profit organization serves as an interactive children's museum and has elected 24 professional and collegiate team mascots into its hall of fame since its founding.
