Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

Mr. Bill Hall challenged the criticism of Dr. Fauci, the NIH and, without evidence, attributed the criticism to that of the anti-vaccine, Trump-supporting crowd. Hall criticized President Trump, stating “Trump has blood on his hands.” Well Mr. Hall, here we stand with multiple vaccines, should you choose to be injected, developed in record time under the direction of Pesident Trump.

Regarding “blood,” Biden has more blood on his hands than Trump; 2021 deaths surpass those in 2020. Fauci, incredibly, has done more flip flops than Biden, is dirty in regard to Wuhan and “gain of function,” and his recent dog study revelations, as horrific as they are, are really not a surprise given the latter. Reconcile all that. Sanitize that. This is what is truly sad, if not despicable.

Sister Mary David Debrecht, refers to “state-wide voter suppression bills and ongoing attempts to erode fair and secure elections” but lists none. What are they? The Freedom to Vote Act enacts the ability to cheat, superseding state authority over election law granted in the Constitution: Election Day and online voter registration, automatic registration via department of motor vehicles records, no excuse vote by mail, postmarked ballots up to 7 days after the election, limit maintenance of voter rolls, 15 days of early voting, allow local election officials to sue statewide election administrators, unlawful to “harass” election officials, mandate drop boxes but no security, restrict poll watchers/voter eligibility challenges. Was this bi-partisan generated? We are not a democracy, as Democrats so desire, we are a republic.

Voting integrity laws include improving the process for mail in ballots and expanding early voting, removing inactive votes from permanent absentee ballots and requiring valid signatures for mail-in ballots. How in heck does this equal voter suppression?

The right to vote in a free and and fair election is the most basic civil right, one on which many of the other rights of the American people depend. I feel my vote in the last presidential election was not counted due all the election fraud.
