Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

Studies abound on the impact masking has on virus spread. Dr. Fauci, our arbiter of truth, has flip-flopped all over the place. If not one mask, use two. Or not. Our Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have come up with 6 feet for social distancing. Other countries are roughly half of that.

All of this begs the question of what exactly is the “science” behind these mandates. I don’t need to be a doctor or scientist to apply some critical thinking to this situation.

In the Sept. 8 “Letters to the Editor,” Robert Nowack states, “For 40 years every working day of my life I wore a mask. Every surgeon, anesthesiologist and nurse also wore masks.”

Mr. Nowack, one question to you. Did you wear a mask in the grocery store or school for any of those 40 years?

Regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, as of July 2, 6,985 deaths have occurred with 34,000 serious injuries, and over 440,000 adverse events (CDC VAERS Data).

In that same group of letters on Sept. 8, Anthony Kuhn cites only a vaccine death rate of .0019%, then contrasts that with 624,000 COVID deaths – 10,000 occurring in Missouri. Very dramatic presentation.

What if you or a loved one is one of those deaths resulting from the vaccine? What of permanent disability, ER visits, prolonged hospitalization, life-threatening complications, birth defects, premature births or miscarriages, anaphylaxis, blood clotting disorders, heart inflammations, etc? Quite the potential price to pay for a recovery rate of 99.995%.

How about each person simply doing what’s right for their personal situation, and not forcing their fears on others? If you are fearful, you can be manipulated.
