Summerville of St. Andrew’s has opened a new, neighborhood-style retirement living community at 450 Summerville Blvd., adjacent to its sister community, St. Andrew’s at Francis Place.

The $23 million development features 96 one- and two-bedroom units spread across 24 separate fourplex patio homes. These residences have front porches and walking paths that connect households. Each area will be built around a central common space that will have amenities such as bocce ball and pickleball courts, gazebos, and fire pits.

“This is an exciting accomplishment and our first step in supporting a vibrant, thriving lifestyle that baby boomers want and demand,” said Mary Alice Ryan, president and CEO of parent company St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System. “We have created a special, active adult experience that reflects the culture and spirit of community living in St. Louis.”
