A few weeks ago, energy company Phillips 66 begun a pipeline replacement project in Eureka area. This new pipeline will replace and relocate sections of an existing line which delivers fuel products to consumers in Missouri and Illinois. The goal of the project is to help guarantee the continued safe and reliable transport of fuels.

The project will be done in two phases. Phase 1, the current phase, includes a stretch of 19.8 miles from Eureka to the Meramec River. Construction to begin in spring 2021 and is anticipated to last 12 months. Phase 2 will include 10.4 miles from Villa Ridge to Eureka. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 2022 and will take approximately 12 months.
